What a poor attempt to feed the student population at Loyola.
The “Thanksgiving Feast” prepared for us students Nov. 20 was less than satisfactory. Maybe for some it sufficed, but being a vegetarian, I thought it was pathetic.
Contrary to popular belief, vegetarians do need and prefer to eat foods other than vegetables.
Obviously the OR is still under the impression that mystery vegetables and mac and cheese will fill a hungry stomach.
Well I’ve got some news for the cafeteria. They don’t!
Unfortunately I, along many other unsatisfied customers, had to pay for this “banquet.”
Where were the vegetarian options? Veggie burgers would’ve been nice. Even some refried beans would have been more substantial than what was offered.
We vegetarians need protein too.
Leaving aside the stale bread, wilted salad, rice (which probably wasn’t even vegetarian) and au gratin something, the yellow canned corn wasn’t too shabby, but how bad can canned corn be?
