Loyola to host the New Orleans Piano Institute and Keyboard Festival

With 88 keys and 10 fingers, musicians will serenade audience members with melodic tunes at the New Orleans Piano Institute & Keyboard Festival.

Loyola University New Orleans will host the festival in Roussel Performance Hall from July 19 through July 26. Free and open to the public, attendees will have the opportunity to explore all the competition rounds, master classes and lectures offered. In addition to the festival, The Steinway Society of New Orleans, in collaboration with the New Orleans Piano Institute, will host a concerto competition at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, in Roussel Hall.

To conclude the week long festival, there will be feature performances from former New Orleans International Piano Competition winners Stanislav Khristenko and Peter Mack on Friday, July 24 Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. respectively.
