What role do you think the Senate should have in determining how elections are run?
Senators should be addressed when there are big and small issues at hand. The president and vice president should not hold all the power, but should be able to rely on the Senate for further advice. All of SGA should run together cooperatively with their own rules, just like the American three-branch system.

Should senators be required to hold bi-semester town halls with the constituents from their college?
Yes. They should have to inform the people about what they are going to do as a senator. It is important for the people to know who they are voting for and the difference this candidate will make.

If a large portion of the student body thinks their senators aren’t representing them properly, what should the students do?
The students should bring their list of concerns to the president of SGA. The president should then address the senators by holding a meeting. Every member of the SGA should be in attendance to discuss what can be improved.

Why are you running for this position?
I am running for a spot in the Senate because I want to make a difference at Loyola, but I also do not want to start with a position that is too high up. I want to learn the ropes on the bottom to hopefully make it to the top by the end of my college experience.

If elected, what do you hope to accomplish as a senator for SGA?
My goal is to really help the environment here at Loyola. I want to find a way to limit waste and make the school a greener place. There’s no doubt that our Earth is facing climate issues and I’d really like to make a difference, even if it’s small.

Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I know what it’s like to be unhappy with what’s going on at our school. I hear the complaints my friends have and I want to fix these issues. This will make our school a better place. I’m a smart, approachable person, and I hope people see that.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your campaign?
Thank you all who participate in the SGA, our school couldn’t run without it. I hope to be someone that makes a difference here at Loyno!
