Leicester City F.C. wins Premier League for the first time in its history

Leicester City are champions of the English Premier League after their closest challenger, Tottenham Hotspur, failed to defeat Chelsea on Monday, May 2.

The title is the first for Leicester at the top level of English soccer in the club’s 132-year history. Betting odds before the season placed Leicester at 5000-to-1 to win the title, longer than the odds of a 16 seed winning the NCAA tournament.
