Award-winning New Orleanian writer Valerie Martin will be on campus Monday, March 28, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Bobet Hall Room 101.
Martin will be discussing her writing career during an interview by playwright John Biguenet.
Biguenet is a professor of English as well as a Loyola New Orleans Robert Hunter distinguished professor.
Martin’s writing includes three collections of short fiction which includes “The Unfinished Novel: and “Other Stories”. Martin has written eight novels, including “Italian Fever,” “Trespass” and “The Confessions of Edward Day.” She has also won various awards for her works including the Heidinger Kafka prize.
The lecture was sponsored by the English department in Loyola’ s College of Humanities and Natural Sciences.
