Two crimes against Loyola students occurred this week. On Sunday, Jan. 6, a student took a taxi from Louis Armstrong International Airport to travel to campus. During the ride the driver began to make inappropriate comments to the student. When the cab arrived on campus, the driver locked the doors and touched the student and grabbed her neck. The taxi service did not appear to be United Cab. Also, on Monday, Jan. 7, at 7:25 p.m. around the 600 Block of Pine Street, two suspects approached a student while he was riding his bike from the Broadway campus. One of the suspects appeared to be armed with a revolver. The student gave up his bike and school bag, which contained his cell phone and wallet. The bike was recovered at the intersection of Pine and Hampton streets.
