Loyola instrumental funk band Naughty Professor has been nominated for Gambit’s Big Easy Music Award.
Naughty Professor was nominated for Best Funk Band along with Dumpstaphunk, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.
Naughty Professor are made up of Loyola jazz senior Bill Daniel, music industry senior John Culbreth, jazz senior Ian Bowman, Loyola graduates Sam Shahin, Nick Ellman, and University of New Orleans student Noah Young.
Winners will be announced and nominated artists will perform at the awards ceremony at Harrah’s New Orleans April 21.
