Dear Editor:
After having lived in the residence halls for the past two weeks, I am still adjusting to the addition of the new furniture in Carrollton Hall.
I was very excited when I was informed about the renovations and the new furniture in Carrollton because I knew that an upgrade was needed. Also, as Secretary of Residence Hall Association, I was pleased to know that there were changes being made in favor of the residents that work and live here.
Loyola Residential Life added new art and plush armchairs to each of the rooms in Carrollton Hall. I am enjoying the new furniture, as it is a major improvement compared to what we had last year.
The chairs add a sophisticated look to each living room and are more conducive to studying. Residents should realize that Residential Life did the best they could to get us new furniture in a very short amount of time.
Every resident should adopt an attitude of appreciation because we could have been sitting on the same old worn, stained furniture that we were so accustomed to.
These new chairs are clean and comfortable and also accent the new art very well. I am embracing Residential Life’s “out with the old and in with the new” philosophy regarding its upgrades to each room.
