The Purpose of Student Government Association

1. To act as the principal representative voice of the student body to the University.

2. To protect student rights.

3. To articulate student responsibilities.

3. To exist as an autonomous entity and operate in the form and standing of a university department and, in doing so fully, assist in the full establishment, formation, and application of institutional policy and procedure.

3. To aid in the academic and social development of a progressive student life.

4. To provide those services which are deemed useful and necessary to the student body.

5. To grant charter recognition to student organizations.

6. To budget and allocate the student fee.

7. To adjudicate student organization discipline.

8. To conduct student organization charter review.
