Loyola freshman Paige Carter was named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Swimmer of the week after winning all three of her races this past Saturday.

Carter won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:55.02. Carter went on to secure another impressive victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.91 and a big win in the 500 freestyle in 5:27.72, beating the second place finisher by about 30 seconds, according to Loyola Athletics.

With these three victories, Carter becomes the first-ever Wolfpack swimmer to earn a conference honor.

With the first competition in the books of the inaugural season for the Wolfpack swimming and diving team, Loyola looks to keep this momentum up this week as they go on to face DI LSU this Saturday Oct. 8 at 1:00 p.m in The Den.
