The Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society, chapter at Loyola is holding its ninth annual calculus competition on Friday, April 5. The competition is open to teams of one or two of any Loyola student who has taken calculus. First place winner is awarded $80 and second place winner is awarded $60. Free food will be provided at the competition. The competition will be in Bobet Hall, room 212 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students who want to participate can register with Ana-Maria Matei, associate professor of mathematics, or Katarzyna Saxton, professor of mathematics, or show up the day of the competition.
