The last concert event from Music Under the Oaks, featuring the Loyola Jazz Band, held on Oct. 24, attracted a large audience watching the Loyola Jazz Band. Directed by Gordon Towell, the Loyola Jazz Band performed jazz standards, as well as other compositions with an 80s vibe. More than 20 students in the Loyola Jazz Band played with an assortment of instruments, including (LEFT) vocalist, Zoe Johnson, a visual arts sophomore and (RIGHT) saxophonist Charlie McMillan, music industry studies junior. This Music Under the Oaks event commemorated the new Audubon Conservancy. Donations went towards the Audubon Conservacy. Past events have included performances by The John Mahoney Big Band, Loyola Jazz Alumni and Loyola Faculty Chamber Ensembles.
