The Loyola Quidditch team placed second in the Division II International Quidditch Association World Cup in Kissimmee, Florida.  For the event, the team had to play four games in pool play on the first day of a two-day competition and three bracket games on the second day. The team won their first six games before losing to Sam Houston State University.

The Division II pool of the World Cup featured 20 teams from smaller schools and schools with new Quidditch Programs.
