The Loyola Tennis team lost its final match of the season against NCAA Division II opponent Mississippi College on Sunday, April 19.

Both the men’s and the women’s teams were swept by the Choctaws 9-0. Senior Meghan DeBaroncelli won six individual games on the women’s side, but ended up losing 6-3, 6-3 overall.

On the men’s side, the number one doubles team of sophomore Federico Mercado and junior David Mayhall won five games against Petar Damjanovic and Lucio Menezes, but lost their match 8-5.

DeBaroncelli was named to the SSAC Champions of Character team for the second time in her four years with the team.
