Jazz and Hertiage Festival kicks off this weekend

For 45 years now, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has brought together some of the greatest musicians from around the country to fill the streets of New Orleans.

In April of 1970, legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson took the stage at the first ever Jazz Fest in Congo Square.

Friday, April 24 will kick off this year’s festivities with a lineup including Elton John, The Who, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Lenny Kravitz and dozens more.
