Presidential Advisory Group reviews academic programs
July 8, 2015
The Presidential Advisory Group to Develop a Long-Term Financial Equilibrium Plan has proceeded in their next step in the university program review process by evaluating recommendations from the Revenue Generation Task Force.
Reports indicate that they will be advancing program proposals through Loyola’s academic program review process, which includes the following: B.S. in Food Studies, B.S. in Nursing (online), B.A. in Spanish Translation and Interpretation and M.A. in Teaching. The next step will be for the Advisory Group to share their recommendations with the Loyola community on August 10 and ask for feedback.
This is in line with the Advisory Group’s strategic plan, Transforming Loyola 2020, which plans to increase enrollment with minimal investment.

Why don’t we try to increase enrollment in the sciences? You know degrees that make money and bring in smart students. We need to increase the caliber of students drastically. We have some of the best professors and the school needs to recognize this and get the hardworking students that can benefit from these professors.
