Men and women will run the streets of New Orleans red for the annual Red Dress Run on August 8.
Hosted by the Hash House Harriers, participants will don a red dress to raise funds to be donated to more than a dozen New Orleans charities and organizations. The proceeds from the event will grant multiple organizations up to $5,000. For those who would rather wear pants that day or cannot attend the event can still make a donation online.
The event officially begins at 12:30 p.m. in Louis Armstrong Park and carries on throughout the French Quarter. Pre-registration for each runner can be done online by July 31 for $60, by August 7 for $70 or on the day of the event for $80 (cash only). Because the event includes a catered meal, music and unlimited beer participants must be 21 years of age or older to partake in the festivities.
