Lakeview Hurricane to hold Katrina 10 Year Anniversary Parade

From one levee to another, the Lakeview Civic Improvement Association will host the Red, White and Blue Parade in honor of the city’s progress 10 years following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
There will be an opening commemoration ceremony on Aug. 29 at 7:30 a.m. on the corner of Fleur-De-Lis Drive and Old Hammond Highway in honor of those who were lost in the storm The parade, made up of local school bands and cheer teams, will begin on Fleur-De-Lis Drive and end at Hynes Elementary School at 10:30 a.m. Those attending are asked to wear red, white and blue.
