City takes on art for art’s sake

Hundreds of art lovers will gather in the city to explore Art for Arts’ Sake in various forms of art inside some of the city’s finest art galleries.

The Contemporary Arts Center at 900 Camp St. will be hosting a free exhibition reception from 5-8 p.m. The reception will include a cash bar, free entry to Reverb, the CAC’s current exhibition, and the grand opening of the Stacks at the CAC: a curated exhibition of contemporary art literature.

Many art galleries, antique stores, jewelry stores and dozens of restaurants will be staying open for business long into the evening.

Galleries will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.
