Starting Jan. 4, 2016, faculty and student users will have to log in to Blackboard using their campus-wide ID number.

In a university email sent out on Dec. 14, Deborah Poole, interim dean of libraries, said all users will keep the same password. She said the switch to using the ID number is to avoid duplicate usernames and to enhance security.

This change will affect all users who are listed as instructors or students during the Fall 2014 semester or after. Exceptions to the change are administrative, guest and inactive accounts.
