Saints 2016-2017 season schedule announced

Ryan Micklin

For the first time since 2006, the Saints have only been given two primetime games.

The Saints won’t be getting a lot of national attention next season, but here are the biggest and most important games that Saints fans should have marked down:

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 13, vs. Denver Broncos, 12 p.m.

It will be the Broncos’ first visit to New Orleans since 2004 as the Saints take on the defending Super Bowl champions in the Superdome.

Week 11: Thursday, Nov. 17, at Carolina Panthers, 7:25 p.m.

In one of the Saints two primetime matchups, the Saints will take on last season’s NFC champs on the road in a Thursday Night Football game that will garner national attention.

Week 3: Monday, Sept. 26, vs. Atlanta Falcons, 7:30 p.m.

This is perhaps the biggest game of the season; a game that marks the 10th anniversary of the Superdome re-opening after Hurricane Katrina. This game features the Saints long-time divisional rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, on Monday Night football.
