Provost Marc Manganero sent out a campus-wide email the morning of Feb. 22 to announce the new dean of the law school.

Judge Madeline Landrieu will succeed the interim dean who has led the law school since 2015.

According to the email, Landrieu has previous experience as a judge on the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, as a trial court judge on the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans and 14 years as a private practice lawyer.

Landrieu graduated from Loyola’s law school in 1987 and will begin her new position as dean beginning summer of 2017.
