Students to participate in MLK Day of Service

On Saturday, Jan. 20, students from Loyola University, Delgado Community College, Tulane University and the University of New Orleans will participate in the 31st annual Martin Luther King Day of Service.

The goal of this event is to answer Dr. King’s ever-relevant question: “What are you doing for others?”

The day of service will begin at 8:00 AM and take place at several community service locations throughout the city, including Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, Louisiana Children’s Museum and City Park.

Students can sign up to volunteer through UNO at the link below, or contact Loyola’s department of student involvement. The deadline to sign up is Jan. 17.
