Drink Beauty, a new coffee and matcha bar, recently opened on Magazine Street, offers a modern twist on coffee.

This Instagram-friendly cafe offers customers the option of CBD-infused coffee, selling Mowellens CBD. The cafe’s most popular drinks include the Golden Girl Chai and matcha tea. As for treats, cookies are baked in-house and macaroons from the local Greybird Baking Company are readily available.

Melissa Coleman and Cece Colhoun, owners of the cafe, said they wanted Drink Beauty to stand out.

“Coffee is one of those areas where people could be more health-focused,” Coleman said.

Along with coffee, iced matcha is served, which customer Katy Roubion said she was fond of.

“I get iced matcha because of its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits. I’ve had it at many different places, but when I order from Drink Beauty, the matcha is a different quality than you would find in a coffee chain,” Roubion said.

At this aesthetic cafe, the owners encourage students to come in and take advantage of the free WiFi, charging stations and a quiet room in the back for studying.

Anne Kenny, a regular customer at Drink Beauty, raved about the cafe as she was waiting for her coffee.

“I live and die for this place,” Kenny said. “The drinks here, if I had to put it in words, are like tasting a sparkle, or even the color pink.”

Along with the drink component of Drink Beauty, there is also the beauty aspect. At the front of the store, is Wyman Studio, run by makeup artist Andrea Wyman which offers makeup and custom spray tans in a back room of the cafe.

Customers are met with an array of beauty products at the front of the store and walk into a coffee paradise as they make their way up to the counter.

“This spot is everything beauty, and it is something that Magazine Street needed because there is so much feeling and heart in here. The women and men of this community need to be reminded how beautiful they are by this great space,” said Kenny as she sipped on her pink coffee.
