The University Sports Complex is set to officially reopen on Sept. 1 at 8 a.m. The facility has been closed since July 27 due to ongoing renovations to repair damages from Hurricane Ida. Director of Athletics Brett Simpson said in an email today that students, staff, and faculty can return to accessing the complex free of charge while community members’ memberships will unfreeze upon reopening.

Simpson said the complex’s racquetball court will reopen later in September and the pool will also be open for limited hours due to the lifeguard shortage around the city.

There is a two-guest limit and a $10 guest fee for individuals outside of the Loyola community and USC membership.
