The Loyola volleyball team capped off its weekend of celebration with a 2-1 record to close out its regular season.

The Wolf Pack earned third place in the 2021-22 regular season Southern States Athletic Conference championship while also commemorating the team’s four seniors Gracie Bailey, Dallis Brown, Brittany Cooper, and Rebecca LaCour this weekend.

Head Coach Jesse Zabal said in a press release she was proud of the team’s seniors who have contributed to Loyola volleyball throughout their athletics career.

“Gracie, Brittany, Dallis, and Rebecca have been incredible pieces of our program and have done great work to help us be who, what, and where we are today,” she said.

The team rebounded from a loss to conference foe Blue Mountain College on Friday with two straight set wins on Saturday versus Stillman College and Louisiana Christian University. The victories mean the Wolf Pack finish the regular season with a 22-10 record and a 14-4 record in the SSAC.

The team will look to carry this momentum forward as they head into the conference tournament, which takes place Nov. 10-12 in Montgomery, Alabama.
