Students living on Loyola’s main campus will have problems getting hot water at this time.
According to an email sent to residents by Director of Residential Life Chris Rice, a waterline from the hot water heater broke.
Hot water in Biever, Buddig, and Francis Hall will be affected.
Rice said the physical plant is working on it now, but he is expecting the line to be down until Monday, March 11, afternoon. Until then, students in these buildings should conserve hot water usage.

As a parent of a freshman currently at Loyola, I am extremely disappointed in the way the school is treating all their students. First the mold in the showers and this is still noticeable when I pick my daughter up once a month. Then I’ve heard about the treatment of student who were unable to leave during the arctic storm, how they did not have enough food for everyone even though they had to fill out a survey for accurate count so they could be prepared. Now they expect students to function normally without hot water or ac when the temperatures are starting to rise. This is Louisiana the temperature hot. My daughter wanted to go to this school for academic reasons, plus the courses offered but I think I will do my best to encourage her to choose another school for next year.
