The Associated Collegiate Press has named The Maroon a finalist for the 2006 Pacemaker award.
Winners will be announced at the ACP convention in St. Louis Oct. 28.
Fifty-five papers across the country have been nominated for the award, considered by many to be the collegiate Pulitzer Prize.
The last time The Maroon won was in 1999, with the last nomination coming in 2000 for both the print and online editions.
