Former Black Panther, professor, prison abolitionist, civil rights activist and scholar Angela Davis came to Tulane University’s McAllister Auditorium on Monday, Nov. 18. Davis expressed her feelings on race, gender and the government, as well as facilitated a question and answer session. Davis stated that Louisiana is the prison capital of the world, and called the audience to question the current prison system.
