Loyola College of Law is once again offering the Volunteer Income Tax Assistant Program; the program provides free tax preparation assistance for people with low to moderate incomes. The program was originally made by the Internal Revenue Service, and will be held Jan. 24 through Apr.14. The hours for the tax preparation sessions are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The VITA office is located in the Loyola College of Law Broadway Activities Center on 501 Pine St., in room 202. Attendees should bring Social Security cards for each member in their household, identification, tax returns and all other tax documents such as W-2 forms, 1099 forms and Social Security statements.
