Loyola design students will create portraits of the men’s and women’s basketball players for the Wolf Pack doubleheader game against Bethel University on Feb. 22.
Seniors in graphic design professor Daniela Marx’s design class will create a six-foot by three-foot portrait using an athlete’s headshot.
Each portrait will be inspired by the respective athlete’s biography, interviews and interests.
The students’ portraits will hang in the gym during the game. Fans will have the opportunity to vote on their favorites and bid to purchase them through a silent auction at the game.
The proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Graphic Design and the Athletics and Wellness Departments.
The women’s game will be at 2 p.m. and the men’s will follow at 4 p.m.
