BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – Pro-abortion rights supporters say new rules enacted for abortion clinics by Gov. Bobby Jindal’s administration will make it nearly impossible for the state’s clinics to stay open.
Ellie Schilling, a New Orleans lawyer advising the abortion clinics, said that the rewritten regulations require new paperwork filings, larger size mandates, increased staffing requirements and also eliminated certain appeal rights for clinics.
