Brief: Archbishop starts lecture series

The Most Rev. Gregory Michael Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans, will be kicking off the Presidential Centennial Guest Series with his talk on “Catholic Education: Gifts and Challenges in 2012 and Beyond.”

According to a university press release, Aymond will discuss issues facing Catholic education today. The lecture will also feature a panel of Catholic higher education leaders.

The panel will include the Rev. Kevin Wildes, S.J., Xavier University of Louisiana President Norman Francis, J.D. and Our Lady of Holy Cross College President Ronald Ambrosetti, Ph.D.

The event will be held Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
