Loyola University biology students taught children at Holy Ghost Elementary School on Nov. 15 and 29 about why animals are important to healthy ecosystems by using animals ranging from scorpions, tarantulas, Madagascar hissing cockroaches and millipedes. Students got the chance to use what they learned in class as they educated kindergarten through 8th grade students, engaged them with fun facts and even got to handle the critters.
