Loyola becomes smoke-free campus
July 29, 2015
Loyola University New Orleans will officially become a smoke-free campus starting Friday, August 1, 2015, banning the use of all tobacco products on property owned, leased or operated by Loyola.
This comes after New Orleans became a smoke-free city this past April, which included public spaces, bars, restaurants, hotels and other places.
Loyola’s ban of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco, and part of the “Let’s Share Clean Air” campaign, will be effective in campus buildings, grounds, exterior open spaces, parking lots, on-campus sidewalks, streets, driveways, athletic facilities, practice facilities, recreational spaces and in all university-owned or operated vehicles.
