East bank of New Orleans issued boil water advisory

On Sept. 23, a precautionary boil water advisory was issued to the east bank of New Orleans.

The advisory was caused due to a power surge at the Carrollton Water Plant.

The Sewerage and Water Board advised residents to avoid drinking water or using water for cooking.
