The Mid-City Library has been approved for a lease extension until a new home is found for the library.
This extension will last until Jan. 31, 2016 after several talks with the landlord.
They are looking to find a real home for the branch in Mid-City, and they will announce their plan in February 2016.
Members of the community are thrilled to know they will still have the library for the time being.
The Mayor spoke on how successful the talks were by promoting education and the opportunity for the public to continue to use the library until a new location is announced.
