May 5, 2016
New Orleanians are acknowledging the various sinkholes appearing in the city in their own special way by throwing a giant street party.
As of May 4, 1.4 thousand guests have RSVP’d to “Sinkhole de Mayo,” an event full of sombreros, drinks, traffic cone piñatas and the general annoyance at New Orleans
street problems.
The event is free and open to the public on May 5 at 4 p.m. at Woldenberg Riverfront Park.
