Loyola ​sees record-breaking number of Gilman Scholars

​Eleven Loyola students received Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to participate in study abroad and intern abroad programs in the coming semesters.

The ​award is run by the U.S. Department of Education, and is meant to support undergraduates who are traditionally underrepresented in study abroad.

According to a press release by the university, the students honored are ​Jabez Berniard, Peyton Finch, Hallé Gugsa, Josi Guidry, Macie LaFonta, Augie Lodholz, Mohamed Mohamed, Anna Nguyen, Heather Rabassa, Kaliah Rodgers, and Victoria Sosa.
