Robert LeBlanc, chair of the presidential search committee at Loyola said last week that the presidential search website is now up and includes information about the university leader’s position, the search committee, and an explanation on how the process will occur.

The email, sent out to the community Nov. 9, featured a description of the new leader the search committee said it is looking for:

“The search committee is looking for an inspirational and engaging leader who understands the current higher education market, who has extensive leadership and financial experience, who will be a highly effective fundraiser, and who will ensure that Loyola University New Orleans realizes an incredibly bright future.”

Since Former President Tania Tetlow’s departure, not much information has been shared. The email sent out on Nov. 9 revealed the most recent update on the search.

Tetlow announced that she was stepping down from her position to become president of Fordham University in New York on Feb. 10, 2022. This led to Vice President, Fr. Justin Daffron S. J. taking the title of Interim University President earlier this year.
