Former president appointee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Robert P. George, J.D., Ph.D., will give a lecture on religious and civil liberties at Loyola New Orleans on March 6.
George, who is the founder of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions and is Princeton University’s McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence, will be presenting a free lecture titled “Five Pillars of a Decent and Dynamic Society.” He will speak about the issues of connecting faith with justice and of caring for the poor.
The speech, which is part of Loyola’s centennial celebration, will be held in the Communications/Music Complex’s Roussel Hall at 7 p.m.
