Student Media has elected two new editors-in-chief for its two publications, The Maroon and The Wolf for the coming semester.
Filling the position for the fall semester as editor-in-chief of The Maroon will be international business and religious studies junior Alex Fournet, who currently serves as editorial editor of The Maroon.
Marketing junior Kaitlin Riley, who currently serves as the art director of The Maroon, will fill the position of editor-in-chief of The Wolf for the entire 2010-2011 school year.
“We can look forward to articles that are more in depth, concise, engaging and better written and researched,” Fournet said in terms of the future of The Maroon.
Riley also expressed similar interests for The Wolf, which runs twice a semester.
“Readers should expect a well-designed publication that contains content relevant to all members of the Loyola community. I hope that every person on campus can pick up our latest issue and find something they can relate to,” she said.
Although non-journalism students have filled each position at various points in the past, this will be the first time non-journalism students will be simultaneously filling both positions.
“I have full faith that they are going to continue the tradition of greatness at Loyola’s student media publications,” said Student Media adviser Michael Giusti.
