Award-winning actor Spud McConnell will take on the role of Ignatius Reilly to perform scenes from John Kennedy Toole’s novel “A Confederacy of Dunces,” in his performance “Toole’ing Around: An Evening with Spud McConnell.”
McConnell will discuss his connection to the character and the novel as well as his experiences acting for the HBO series “Treme.”
McConnell will answer questions following his performance and announce the winners of the freshman-writing contest.
“Toole’ing Around: An Evening with Spud McConnell” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Nunemaker Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
