NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Two New Orleans universities — Loyola and Tulane — have announced plans with a car rental business to start a car-sharing program for faculty and staff.
In a news release, Loyola says the program will enable participants to maintain the benefits of a personal car while only paying for the vehicle when they use it.
The universities are offering the “WeCar” program in partnership with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. WeCar will offer members access to three Toyota hybrid Priuses, which Tulane and Loyola will share.
