    Jazz Fest

For 40 years, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has allowed the world to experience New Orleans culture at its best with a gumbo pot of music, food, art, demonstrations and an overall good time. Every last weekend in April and first weekend in May, musicians from all walks of life, from the superstars such as Stevie Wonder and Simon and Garfunkel to the musicians who occupy Frenchman Street, gather to create one sound that marks Jazz Fest as the “Favorite Festival.” “I’m a music girl. So, any place there’s music, I’m happy. With that said, Jazz Fest is my absolute favorite event. Two full weekends of nothing but music – add delicious food, good people and a little sunshine – is just perfect in my book,” said Alexie Gaddis, psychology junior.
