Once known as Adam’s Bicycle Shop in Uptown New Orleans, Bicycle World provided the city’s bike riders with reliable bikes and supplies for years until Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original store in 2005. In September of that same year, the store returned and was rebuilt into Bicycle World, now located on Jefferson Highway. “It gives us a lot more room to do more things and we are doing great now,” said Mark Ducote A’94, owner of Bicycle World. With its full range of bicycles, skateboards and accessories, Bicycle World dominates as the “Favorite Bike Shop.”
