Brief: Report addresses issue of New Orleans human trafficking

The issue of human trafficking in New Orleans is being discussed in an in-depth report for the first time.

Laura Murphy, assistant professor at Loyola, recently published “The Louisiana Human Trafficking Report,” which seeks to combat human trafficking and to raise awareness of ways to prevent it from happening, according to a university-issued press release.

The report uses sources such as survivors, journalists, law enforcement and others who have closely dealt with the issue.
