The editorial board of the Maroon did not lightly decide to run, “Student arrested on rape charge.” We fully understand the implications of publishing the name and picture of the involved party. However, as our code of ethics states, the Maroon, “is a mirror and a lamp: it reflects the community to itself and to a larger public; it shines a light on good and evil.” We feel that we have a duty to our community to bring the truth to light.
