Happy Thanksgiving from the Market Chef. This week, learn how to make a quick and tasty turkey snack and a chocolate dessert.
Turkey Hors d’Oeuvres
You will need:
Turkey sandwich ($4.19)
Crackers ($2.49)
Cream cheese ($3.09)
How to:
Take apart the turkey sandwich, setting the turkey and cheese aside.
Take some of the crackers and spread lightly with the cream cheese.
Slice the cheese from the sandwich into squares and lay them on the crackers.
Cut the turkey into small pieces and put on top of the cheese.
Make sure to eat them soon after making, or else the cream cheese will make the crackers soggy.
Chocolate Muffin Dessert
You will need:
Chocolate muffin ($1.89)
Hershey’s Almond chocolate bar (98 cents)
Cream cheese (you can use the rest from the hors d’oeuvres)
How to:
Scoop out the middle of the muffin and fill the space with a spoonful of cream cheese.
Melt the chocolate bar in the microwave and pour over the top.
If you don’t like almonds, you can easily remove them here.
Put the muffin in the microwave for around 30 seconds to warm it up.
You may want to consider having milk on hand. The chocolate might make you want a glass.
