Bob Wardlaw was chosen by The Maroon’s editorial board and the print communications faculty to be The Maroon’s editor in chief for the spring 2003 semester.
Wardlaw is a communications junior who has “had three great semesters working at The Maroon,” according to Mary Chauvin, current Maroon editor and communications senior.
“I think Bob has very good ideas for the future of The Maroon. I see it improving vastly under his leadership,” she said.
“We’re very fortunate that we have someone who is willing to give everything it takes to be a good Maroon editor,” Liz Scott, Maroon adviser, said. “We’re also fortunate to have someone as talented as Bob.”
This is Wardlaw’s third semester with The Maroon. Other positions held by Wardlaw include opinion and editorial editor in spring 2002 as well as his current position as managing editor. Wardlaw also has been a columnist in the Life and Times section for two semesters.
“I’m excited about next semester’s staff. I think it’s going to be an excellent one,” Wardlaw said. “That’s really the most important thing. That’s where you sink or swim.”
